Located on the intersection of Grove & Gough, the one of a kind 400 Grove is one of the most anticipated new construction projects of 2015. DM Development is converting the parking lot that has long occupied the parcel of land, into a 38 unit development. With a central Hayes Valley location, residents will have quick access to the neighborhood’s charming dining, retail and nightlife, as well as a four block walk to the Civic Center BART station to get downtown.
400 Grove will offer 9 studios, 8 one bedrooms, and 17 two bedrooms. 30 will be market rate and four will be offered at below-market rate.
With a design by the accomplished Fougeron Architecture, 400 Grove is a striking, modern building that arranges its units around a shared, landscaped courtyard. Beyond the stylish glass and wood exterior, the 40,000 square foot project will contain four floors for residences, and 12,000 square feet of ground floor retail space for a restaurant. The five story building will also feature a roof deck, which should offer some fantastic panoramic city views. Light was crucial in designing 400 Grove, and each unit will have southern exposures and large bay windows.
Besides the rooftop deck, amenities at 400 Grove will include additional storage space as well as secure off-street parking for 17 vehicles and 25 bicycles, an absolute must in Hayes Valley. With such a central location, it’s rare that something will be too out of the way for residents.
Pricing has not been announced yet for 400 Grove.
